Aurora Fire Rescue

Aurora Fire Rescue (AFR) provides fire protection and emergency medical services to the City of Aurora and surrounding areas across Arapahoe, Adams, and Douglas Counties. The department serves a diverse urban and suburban community, including residential neighborhoods, commercial districts, major highways, and Denver International Airport–area developments. Aurora Fire Rescue responds to structure fires, medical emergencies, vehicle accidents, hazardous-material incidents, technical rescues, and wildland fires. The department also provides fire prevention, inspections, public education, and specialized emergency-response services.
