South Metro Fire Rescue

South Metro Fire Rescue (SMFR) provides fire protection and emergency services across portions of Arapahoe, Douglas, and Jefferson Counties. The district serves a large and diverse area of the southern Denver metro region, including residential communities, businesses, major highways, and Centennial Airport. SMFR responds to fires, medical emergencies, vehicle accidents, hazardous-material incidents, technical rescues, and wildland fires. The district also provides fire prevention, inspections, public education, and emergency preparedness.
