Eagle River Fire Protection

The Eagle River Fire Protection District (ERFPD) provides fire protection and emergency services to communities throughout the Vail Valley and Eagle River Valley in Eagle County, Colorado. The district serves a combination of residential communities, businesses, mountain resorts, highways, and recreational areas. The district responds to structure fires, wildland fires, vehicle accidents, emergency medical calls, hazardous-material incidents, technical rescues, and other emergencies. Eagle River Fire also provides fire prevention, inspections, public education, and emergency preparedness services. Because of the area's mountainous terrain and heavy tourism, the department maintains capabilities for a variety of specialized rescue and emergency situations.
