Gilpin County Sheriffs Office

The Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) provides law-enforcement and public-safety services throughout Gilpin County, Colorado. The Sheriff's Office serves the county’s residents, businesses, visitors, and large tourism population, including the communities of Black Hawk and Central City. The Sheriff’s Office provides patrol, criminal investigations, traffic enforcement, civil process, court security, detention services, search and rescue, and emergency response. Deputies also work with local police departments, fire agencies, ambulance services, and state and federal agencies on incidents throughout the mountainous county.
