The Department of Veterans Affairs Police (VA Police) is the armed and uniformed federal law enforcement service of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. VA Police protect VA medical centers, outpatient clinics, national cemeteries, benefits facilities, and other VA properties throughout the United States and its territories. VA Police officers provide law enforcement, crime prevention, criminal investigations, vehicle and foot patrols, emergency response, workplace-violence prevention, and physical-security services. They also work closely with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies when incidents occur on or around VA property.
