Crystal Park Fire Protection District

The Crystal Park Fire Protection District, served by the Crystal Park Volunteer Fire Department (CPVFD), protects the private mountain community of Crystal Park in El Paso County, Colorado, above Manitou Springs. The department provides structural fire suppression, wildland firefighting, emergency medical response, high-angle rescue, and special operations in a rugged mountain environment. Crystal Park covers more than 2,000 acres of heavily wooded, mountainous terrain, with elevations approaching 9,000 feet. The area's steep terrain, limited access roads, and wildland-urban interface create unique firefighting challenges. The department is staffed by volunteers and maintains automatic/mutual aid relationships with neighboring agencies, including Manitou Springs Fire Department.
