Falcon Fire Protection District (Colorado) The Falcon Fire Protection District (FFPD) is an all-hazards fire and emergency services agency serving the Falcon and Peyton areas of El Paso County, Colorado. The district provides fire suppression, EMS, wildland firefighting, rescue, hazardous materials response, fire prevention, and emergency services. It serves approximately 113 square miles and responds to roughly 4,000 calls each year. The department began as a volunteer fire department in 1975 and became the Falcon Fire Protection District in 1981. Today, it is a combination department made up of career and volunteer personnel.
