SOUTHWEST HWY 115 FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT

The Southwest Highway 115 Fire Protection District (SW115) is a combination volunteer fire department serving the rural communities along the Highway 115 corridor in southwestern El Paso County, Colorado. The district provides all-hazards emergency response including structural and wildland fire suppression, emergency medical first response, vehicle extrication, hazardous materials support, and mutual aid to neighboring fire agencies and Fort Carson. Due to its heavily wooded terrain and wildfire-prone landscape, wildland fire prevention and mitigation are a major focus of the district's mission. Governed by an elected Board of Directors, SW115 protects residents, ranches, recreational areas, and critical infrastructure throughout its response area while working closely with regional partners on emergency preparedness and wildfire resilience.
