Department Profile
The Victorville Fire Department (VFD) is the all-hazards fire and emergency services agency serving the City of Victorville, California. The department provides fire suppression, Advanced Life Support (ALS) emergency medical services, technical rescue, hazardous materials response, fire prevention, public education, and community risk reduction for one of the High Desert's fastest-growing communities. Originally established as a volunteer fire protection district, the department transitioned to city control in the 1970s and was re-established as a standalone municipal fire department in 2019 after a decade of contracted fire services. Today, Victorville Fire operates five fire stations with medic engines, a truck company, and medic squads, protecting residents, businesses, and visitors throughout the city.
